Breitling recently announced a new version of their popular Blackbird collection, the Red Strike Limited Edition. Personally, this is one of my favorite Breitling replica watches, I especially like the big date window at 12 o'clock. This version will be limited to 2,000 pieces worldwide and is available in either polished (shown) or satin. The stainless steel case is 43.7 mm with a rotating bezel that features a 360° graduated scale.

It is water-resistant to 300 meters (1,000 ft) and has a "Blackbird special" pilot bracelet. The movement is a 38-jewel Breitling Calibre 44 automatic movement that has been COSC certified (all Breitlings are COSC chronometer certified). Check out a DLC version of this timepiece here. The most notable difference between this and a standard Blackbird replica watch, is the red accents on the dial.

Breitling releases another limited edition replica watch in honor of the SR-71 Blackbird, super fast, super spy plane, that set a record in the 1970s for being the fastest (”air breathing”) plane in the world. Only 32 of the planes were ever built. 12 of them were destroyed through unfortunate accidents, but none ever succumbed to “enemy action.” This new version of the Breitling Blackbird replica watch is called the Breitling Blackbird Red Strike Chronograph, and has a familiar feel about it compared to most other Breitling pilot watches. The black dial with red trim matches the color scheme of the plane. Even after all these years the SR-71 Blackbird is still a gorgeous aircraft.

The Blackbird Red Strike replica watch will be limited to just 2,000 pieces, and offered in either a polished (the standard Breitling way), or in a brushed finish. Why the choice? Well some people in active duty who like watches opt for non polished case to reduce unwanted light reflection from the cases. The watch case is a sizable 43.7mm wide in all steel. Crystal is sapphire and richly AR (anti-reflective) coated. Water resistant is 300 meters.
